Ice Climbers:
In recent years ice climbing and winter camping have become popular winter sports within the Lakeshore. Due to ample lake effect snow, numerous waterfalls, porous sandstone cliffs, and the water which seeps out of the rock layers, curtains and columns of ice are common along the Sand Point road area of the Pictured Rocks National Park.

U.S. Fish & National Wildlife Service & the Seney National Wildlife Refuge
The Seney National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1935 and covers more than 95,000 acres. Enjoy breathtaking views of the wilderness and wildlife when you visit this unique habitat. Birds, deer, moose, eagles, sandhill cranes, swans, loons, ducks, and more will amaze viewers as they hike, bike, walk, drive, or canoe through the refuge.

AuSauble Point Lighthouse
The AuSauble Point Lighthouse was built in 1874 along the picturesque shores of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Tours are available during the summer.
